I have been asked for the millionth time if I will be attending the awards show in Vegas this month, and the answer is HELL NO. I had no intentions of posting about it, but after reading a long screenshot thread of a twitter direct message group where I was called "outdated, bitter & a hater" because I refuse to support the event, I am expressing my opinion.
First and foremost, it has nothing to do with the fact that I CHOSE to stop doing BBWFanFest. I didn't have to shut down or stop the show, I chose to for a multitude of reasons.
1. It was expensive to put on a show that would be fun, professional & employ the staff necessary to make it a success. There just weren't enough paying fans, vendors, and sponsors to make it break even. When the risk out weighs the reward, any good business person would make the same choice.
2. The drama was toxic and mentally unhealthy. Trying to make EVERYONE happy and do things to everyone's satisfaction was IMPOSSIBLE and usually unreasonable. This lead to a lot of temper tantrums and social media fits.
3. I made some VERY poor decisions in partnering with certain people. End of story.
The show that was created the following year was NOT BBWFanFest, and I was not in any way, shape, form or fashion involved. In fact, I rarely spoke of it after they LIED to everyone and said that it was the "same show" just a different name. That wasn't the case at all. They used everything I had worked hard to build from BBWFanFest, including the website of which I wrote EVERY word myself and simply replaced BBWFanFest with their new name.
The email lists were stolen, photos and videos of the show were used to make it look like it was the same show but at the end of the day, the missing passion and dedication to do my best to keep it legit was me. See, although many people complained about the awards as they do with ALL awards, the difference between ME, and them (the previous show & the current one) is that I removed MYSELF from ALL nominations. I think it is highly unprofessional, tacky, and a major conflict of interest to nominate yourself or give yourself awards at your own show. I also spent a lot of time researching who was current, looking at cam girls on all sites and even going through sites & archives to find clips stores of girls that wouldn't likely be known to the "porn girls" because they are mostly focused on who shoots for what company.
I don't need to be popular within the BBW porn girls. Matter of fact, since removing myself and accepting that it was OK to be an outcast and hated; my life is SO much better, healthier, drama free and ultimately happier.
But let me digress, I think it is also important you understand my stance on awards. I, personally don't care if I am ever or NEVER nominated for awards. The true reward is in the sales and customer retention and interaction. ANYONE can cheat and fake votes. ANYONE can cast a vote. If you truly support me, you will join my website, buy videos from me, webcam with me or in some way pay for something I provide. Whether a $2 clip or a lifetime membership, it all gives me the reward that I feel I deserve.
Furthermore, I wasn't INVITED to the awards because I am not "in the cliq" LOL And if you can tell by the site I am not in any nominations although I had fans SCREENSHOT their nomination for me AND none of my sites are nominated.

WHO WOULD YOU NOMINATE?
